Overview

The establishment of NAM College by Muslim Educational Foundation (MEF) Panoor, on 16th June 1995, is the materialization of a long cherished dream of the people of erstwhile “Iruvazhinad” and “Kadathanad” region of Malabar. The college is an aided institution affiliated to Kannur University, which is named after Jb. N.A.Mammu Haji, famous philanthropist and Ex-MLA of Peringalam constituency. It is accredited with B Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College is situated in verdant campus (16.82 Acres) on a hilltop on the left side of Panoor-Nadapuram Road, eight kilometers away from Panoor and one kilometer away from Kallikkandy town.

We focus to impart quality education to students belonging to different communities. Especially the minority community in the rural area, and equip them to achieve and manage the latest requirements of living through innovation and updating, and in unison to buttress intellectual and moral strengthening of the youth to act as a creative force in the process of nation building.

NCC eter Challenge

The NCC unit of NAM College, Kallikkandy participated in the fight against Covid -19 by providing Oximeters to all wards of Trippangottur and Kunnothparamba Grama Panchayath. Cadets collected the required amount by conducting an 'Oxi Meter Challenge' through digital media like Facebook and WhatsApp. They were able to raise Rs 30,000/- in two days and bought 44 Oximeters .The Oximeters were handed over to Sri. T P Musthafa, Secretary, Trippangottur Grama Panchayath and Smt. K Latha, President, Kunnothparamba Grama Panchayath by Lt. Shameer A P, NCC Officer on 27-5-2021. Sri Sameer Parambath, Panchayath members, Panchayath Secretary and NCC cadets also participated in the programme in accordance with Covid Protocol.

NCC paid tribute to the efforts of Covid 19 frontline workers

The NCC units of NAM College Kallikkandy, PRM HSS Panoor and Mambaram HSS, Mambram jointly recognized and paid tribute to the efforts of Covid 19 frontline workers on 30-05-2021. The police force of the Panoor Police Station and staff members of Panoor Taluk Hospital were felicitated. Sri K P Mohanan MLA inaugurated the function and presented flowers to all the police officers as a token of gratitude. Ward Councillor Sri P K Praveen, senior journalist Sri V P Chathu master, Press Forum president Sri Sajeev Othayoth, Sri Riyas Chakeeri (C. I of police), Sri. Nijeesh M (S. I of police ) felicitated the occasion. Lt. Dr. Shameer A P presided over the function. Lt. Jayakrishnan C welcomed the gathering. Sri Vivek proposed the vote of thanks. As part of the programme lunch was also provided for the Front line workers.

UNLOCK YOURSELF- TELE –COUNSELLING

As you know college students are special social groups with active life habits based on relationship, contacts, travel and gathering etc. The pandemic had a huge impact in their habit, life style and learning process. Since the evolution of the Covid 19 pandemic is uncertain about its effects on mental, social and emotional health in students, it is desirable intensify the intervention than the normal. In this context, NAM College Kallikkandy in association with IQAC and Counselling Center creates a platform for free Tele-Counselling for students who need psychological support in managing the crisis pertaining to their studies and day today life. Students can avail the service Consultant Psychologist Rahina P (Mob: 7510929242) through telephone from 7 to 8 PM on all days
